Mini-Maestros Invade Opus HQ
We had a ton of fun today celebrating Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day today in Opus headquarters. For half a day, we had Maestros bring their kids in to get a close look at what it is their parents do all day while they’re in school.
This year’s theme is “Sparking AHA! Moments,” which speaks to the opportunity for children to see the importance of their parent or mentor’s work, but for hands-on discovery of how far education and hard work can get you in life.
While the day is, at its heart, focused on showing kids what it’s like to be part of the world’s workforce, the mini-Maestros didn’t have their noses glued to computer screens all day. We kicked things off with a fun, interactive photo booth, had a grown-up show-and-tell where the kids got a closer look into each of the Opus service lines, and wrapped things up with everyone’s favorites: arts, crafts, and pizza.
It’s one of our favorite days of the year, not only for the chance to spend more time with the kids, but to give them a slightly better idea of what it is, exactly, that Opus does. If you haven’t already, check out the video below for the kids’ take on what mom and dad do all day.
