For the eighth year in a row since the event’s inception in 2009, Opus was proud to be involved with supporting The Children’s Pro-Am benefitting the Children’s Cancer Association (CCA).

Opus Vice Chairman and CCA board member Grant Hammersley founded the tournament eight years ago. Hammersley continues to be actively involved in planning and hosting the event, which has raised more than $1 million to date. Participants enjoyed a great day of golf, followed by an inspiring evening of personal stories from those affected by serious illness. This was a record-breaking year, raising more than $240,000, with all proceeds benefitting CCA’s mission of creating joy for children diagnosed with serious illness, as well as their families.

About Children’s Cancer Association (CCA)

The Children’s Cancer Association knows that for seriously ill children and their families every moment is precious. That’s why the organization’s programs leverage music, friendship, play, and resources to create transformative moments of joy for 20,000 children, teens, and their family members each year. CCA believes kids deserve long, wonderful lives—or at the very least, short wonderful lives. Unlike many organizations dedicated to the worthy goal of someday finding a cure for cancer, CCA is all about creating joy today. Learn more at JoyRx.org.
